Hi Guys,

i am putting the finishing touches to a very large project. Which is a game changer.

It's huge and i still cannot believe i am the first person to think of it.

I wont go into much detail about it here - because im sure many others here have the skills to copy my project idea - and hey why not, we are all black hat marketers here, id copy someone's idea if i thought it would make me money. But im sure you understand why i dont go into more detail in this post.

Anyway. Basically. When mainstream media gets wind of this project im sure they will cover it. When it gains even a modest amount of social traction it will go viral. I know this sounds optimistic, but it really is a game changer. Im no noob to IM, and approach things conservatively - but this is big. From my teams research ~80% of the ~4000 people we surveyed in the VERY large industry it is in will want to use it.

I dont want investment or anything like that at all, so please dont PM me any offers.

I need to know any tips and tricks for getting the first spark.

I have got a good amount of social planned with thunderclap, and some media buys on relelvant sites lined up, a team of VA's to hit all the forums in the "niche", but i want to kickstart it as best i can. As soon as word gets out people will copy this, and i want to get in as the original and established company first - to go viral before they get chance to copy the idea.

Are there any press release services you know of that actually provide press releases. Not for links, but for actual shit news companys want to cover?

Are there any other great methods you know of that could gain exposure for something that the media will actually want to cover? Online or Offline - in fact offline would probably be better. I have a budget dedicated to the launch marketing, but dont want to spend thousands needlessly.

BHW Help a brother out. I Already make a good living online, but this is the big one for me, and if i launch this right its going to change my life drastically.

Thanks!

You said 80% of the 4000 people that you surveyed would want to use it, right? What I would do if I were you is create a landing page and get them to sign up. If they sign-up, give them something in return. They can download the "gift" by tweeeting, fb-liking, fb-sharing, and any other social media channel promotions.

Other things I would do are:

- Get started on Twitter: know the influencers in your area and connect with them
- Get active on forums: Answer questions and be a good samaritan
- Get active on Q&A sites
- Get active on blogs (influencers): Read their posts/articles and comment on them, re-tweet them, etc.

A few weeks before launch:

- Write a good press release: Distribute them to sbwire, Google news, etc.
- Create FB page: Get your friends and contacts to like your page. You might want to consider FB ads to kickstart fan building process
- Create viral content: easier said than done (haha). Emotive stories, videos and pictures that people could share on social media easily
- Create interesting infographics: distribute them through inforgraphic submission websites
- Create fun contests: quizzes, social games, etc. for twitter and FB fans (throw away freebies)

Post launch:

- Thank any blogger or website that has covered you
- Be active on social media and engage with customers who mention our website

Wow, thanks dude some great ideas there. The surveys were done anonymously to ensure i got honest results, i did think about retaining their data but didn't. But i will certainly twist the landing page gift idea - thanks!

@MrBeastsOnToast, just reading your post. Since it was several years ago, I'd like to know did your project work out as expected? Can you share your niche and idea now that it's 3 years later?
