Hello there,

I know you see me make a few different threads somewhat similar to this one but this is a new one because my journey has finally begun.

Starting notes -
My domain is only 5 days old, it's a VERY young website, got it indexed in google within 24 hours then began my SEO. I have spent 5 - 8 hours maximum on my website over those 5 days so far.

Brief summary -
I know very basic SEO and my skills are very limited so please bare with me since I am very new to this stuff. I'm on about day 4 or 5 at the moment and I am already getting the odd 1 or 2 people through google (since I rank #1 for some long-tailed keywords which get minor searches) and my CTR is about 1.6% since I got one of my ads clicked and earned $0.80

Method -
I have bought a domain, I targeted a niche, got a domain which was somewhat close to an EDM. Targeted a low competitive niche but there is some competition for it. I have added google adsense to my website and the CPC is around $4-7.

Search per month for keywords -
Local - 3,500
Global - 6,700
Local - 160
Global - 3000

For one keyword I am already top 50 in google.
For the lower searched keyword I am top 70 in google.

I think I am doing ok so far and I am going to continue adding more and more pages to my website targeting different keywords on each page.

Wish me luck

Note : All this is possible thanks to BHW, without the use of this website I never would of managed to achieve what I have, in fact I would of never even began to take action,

Thanks BHW!

If you have already made almost your first $1.00 within 1 week of setting up the site, I say you are doing very good! Is it a blog where you can keep adding new posts?

Thanks, I know $1.00 is not much at all but considering the hosting only cost $0.01 for the first month :P. Already getting some organic traffic from google and when I rank for my main keywords because of the fairly high CPC I will be making at least $300 per month if I'm in #1 google spot for only one of my keywords, if I rank for both of them in #1 then it will rise to at least $400 per month.

Then I can use that income to rank for a term that banks 70,000 searches per month or at least that's the plan.

It's not exactly a blogging website it's more of an information website with the possibility to add comments, posts and more articles.

Hey, my first YEAR on adsense was $3.40, you are doing great.!!

Congratulations, you are a Webmaster! welcome to the club.

Pm me if you think I can be of help.

Thanks for the nice post.
I do not consider myself a webmaster, far from it but I do think I'm doing alright.

No offense but if you only made $3.40 in one year I do not think there is much you can do to help me, thanks for the offer though :D!

As long as its possible to keep adding more posts and articles, thats the most important thing so you can keep hitting long tail keywords. The main keyword is the most important of course, but the long tail will help you build a better relationship with Google, and that will make sure you are getting paid maximum CPC for your keywords.

Ah thank you, I do not plan to keep on adding more and more articles, blogs or posts to my homepage but on the other pages I plan to keep making articles relevant to each other page or possibly just have one page with ALL my articles on it. Not sure which is best yet if you have any idea?

Ya you dont need to make the posts on the homepage, just as long as they are on your site, and there is links from your articles to your other pages so Google can easily find all the pages of your site. I dont think you should make 1 page with ALL your articles on it. Keep it spread out among multiple pages.

Ok I do have a sitemap can google simply not use that to crawl my site effectively? Also, all my links to my other web pages are at the top of my webpage with relevant titles for easy navigation.

It sounds like you have set it up Good. Google should have no problems finding your articles properly.

Thank you, I read up a lot about SEO and watch the youtube videos by Matt Cutts. Essentially I have all of the on-page SEO that is needed which is a great start and I'm seeing excellent results, I also have images with alt tags, I'm also going to make a funny 404 page as well and get that sorted asap.

Build steady some backlinks, not to fast , just a few per day and slowly build it up.

What is the best way to find high PR backlinks? I'm not entirely sure the best way to begin by building backlinks, I want to do it all manually as I want my site to be white hat.

I have checked the "link building" section but I'm still a little shaky on the best way to find them.

Thanks

High PR society has some look them up. Incidentally I started a case study that I am doing on my FB page, it is a local term like " Cardiologist, San Diego" CLOSE to an EMD and now #19 in big G, for the term I targetted. When I get it to page 1 plan on trying to flip it or sell SEO to a related company.

Just keep adding Unique content and building links gradually and you will be fine.

You need to know what's working. Try to hover around the buy sell SEO service section in BHW and read those reviews. If you don't have enough money to spend, try doing your own seo. At least you know what's working, what's not.

Congratulations! Baby steps... it think this goes with everything, and that is patience and don't get discouraged. Because when you think you have failed, it is a sign that you are ALMOST there.

All good suggestions thank you, I shall make sure that I look up the high PR society. In terms of a budget for my SEO I have a budget of up to $200 per month but I do not want to spend too much on a niche website, any recommendations on how to get #1 on G :P?
