Hello BHW! I'm no stranger to cold calling, in fact I love cold calling. I see it as the most effective way of getting new business. I'm having a small issue though, I can't really find a good method that will allow me to create a good calling list. I'm spending more of my time looking through potential client's sites on Google than actually calling.

I've heard about certain scrapers that can build you a list. Right now I'm open-minded and willing to try anything, I just want to call and acquire new web design clients.

Just stumbled on your post, and impressed you actually "love" that process. PM me your info, and I'm interested in your work, maybe we can work something out.

Find untapped markets, where you can find leads using even your smartphone from bed ;) ehem, gp

Everybody raves about Places Scout. It can scrape hundreds or even thousands of businesses in your area and you can select it to only scrape business info on businesses without a website. I think I am going to get it myself.

Then I will mail businesses with a screenshot of their new website and have another page that says how much a website can do for their business.

Join your local chamber of commerce. They will usually give or sell you the members list. Call the other members and offer them a member to member special. They will respect you for being a member and the member fees usually aren't very high.

There are also sites specialized in selling such kind of data - you can search for them.

Best regards,
Axeny
