Hi everyone,

I am trying to get my hands on an exact match username (vanity URL) for my company's Facebook page. There was a spammy personal account using the username already so as it was clearly a fake account and hadn't posted in years I thought maybe if I reported it, it might get deleted and eventually the URL might become available again. To my surprise the account was deleted (well at least it says "no longer available" or whatever when I visit the profile now).

This was 3 weeks ago and the username is still not available. What is annoying is that when I try to change the username of my page to the one I want I initially get the green tick of approval/availability but when I click to confirm it says it's not available. Does anyone know if this URL will ever become available or if there's anything else I can do to try and get it?

You may need to spend exactly $1 or $2 with Facebook in order to gain access to this form. With this form you can request a URL for your page. When a page gets deleted, the URL goes into "space" and can't be claimed by anyone. That form allows a rep to manually do it for you.

Never knew this was possible.

I didnt know that was a possibility, sounds very interesting for getting good names for fanpages.

Thanks...am I the only one that says me that the page does not exist anymore ?

Yep, page not found! Must be an old link.

As others have already pointed out, the link is dead. Got a working link for this by any chance?

One last bump to see if anyone has any suggestions for this?
