Acquired farm land.. need your ideas

Not sure if trolling, but if not - that's a ridiculous question, without a fuckton of additional information and market research.

Look at what can be grown in your climate and on the type and quality of land you have, go through your ministry of agriculture's programs or call an information service, many places have subsidies and a whole bunch of programs for various crops.

Do some math on seed/fertilizers/pesticides/rent or purchase of required machinery/manual labor/etc on the possible operations you have drawn up, look at the market, research the competition, look at what companies have been growing and shrinking, look at your export laws, if that's your intention.

Also, 5 acres is a really small farm, if you intend to grow edibles, like nuts or the like, you might want to look into organic certification applicable to your country, which will increase price dramatically - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Organic_certification

tl;dr - you're not in the right place, plenty of things to consider

Find out what crops, fruits, vegetables, are in demand. With 5 acres of land you could divide it into different sections for different crops. Where im from there are farmers with smaller land diong around $3000 profit a month. They focused on what on what is on demand and are very efficient in farming.

my advice is that if you have no knowledge about being a farmer, your best bet is to lend it to somebody who has, a lot less headaches and guaranteed money (ain't no such thing as guaranteed when it comes to agriculture tho), this someone can be one of your neighbors who is already farming his own land

Tomato plants! Seriously I grew up in a rural area and when I was young I planted 100 tomato plants.
At the time they were selling for $2-3 dollars per pound. I made a ton of money going to the local
farmer markets and small convenience stores selling them.

-Raise QUAILS
-very hardy animals, can resist different climates (Japanese quails)
-10 quail pairs can get you at least 120 eggs per week.
-Sell the eggs or hatch them.
-Quails are more disease resistant than other domestic animals like chicken.
-The grow FAST, sell them for meat.
-Their price is high compared to other types of meat (this is a variable depends where you live).
-Compact - they can live in a small space.

That's my dream. I want to grow organic fruits and vegetables and have a stand to sell them.
Yup.Indeed that is the future.minimized chemical usages,no unnatural farming methods and lowest level of toxicity is what required for future generation. And thus i has a huge financial potential too.

Easiest and probably the best method for you would to be is leasing your land out to a farmer.
1. farming is hard work
2. heavy equipment is expensive
3. insects, animals esc can kill entire crops.
4. farming is hard ass work.

So simple answer would be to lease land to a farmer or a rancher.

Make it a giant drone trap. Once Amazon starts doing drone deliveries catch you a couple thousand drones.

You gave us no climate or district details so I am assume you will research into making your own environment controlled greenhouse if you are thinking about planting. You can do a lot with 5 acres, but it solely depends on money and time. Money for advertisements and time to get money from people. If the OP decides to come back and respond with more information then maybe we can throw out some logical ideas about how to help them monetize their land for years to come.

Greenhouses -- high quality year round crops for chefs. They will pay good and its steady. Best of all it doesnt require lots of land! Mushrooms might be worth thinking about too -- and not those kind! Shitake etc pay good, dont need a lot of land.

Anyone one from India need free agriculture advice, get in touch with me. From Polyhouse, non seasonal crops, Bulgarian rose to other cash crops, I know it all. I know how you can get a huge percentage of your investment get subsidized by Govt. Of India.
How do I know? My dad is Senior Deputy Director in National Horticulture Board, Ministry Of Agriculture. I could really help you out; no bullshit.

I would mark a section for harvesting some sticky icky.
Could possibly bring in a good amount of monkeys for you.

Better yet invest some Monkeys to buy some monkeys to work the sticky icky. Stay out of trouble that way.
