Accounts which post ads on my behalf

I have an account in the crypto niche. When I browse the timeline of this account, I am served cryptocurrency ads by verified accounts (blue checkmark). Often these ads seem to be serving cloaked ads and I also see several different accounts posting the same links/copy. However, the accounts behind the ads are not related at all to the ads. Some look organic, some look like bots.

I'm wondering what this is called. It looks like Twitter account rental for ads, but I can't seem to find the right word for it and I'm interested in checking out this offering.
