account monetization disabled and no idea why! what next?

i was crushed this morning when it said my youtube accounts were disabled from monetization. worse is i have no idea why. i am panicking since i made over 4k last month. here is what i know

- accounts are still up, so i wasnt banned. i have 3 copyright strikes but spread out over 3 accounts. none of the strikes came within the past month

- it says you can lose your rights to monetize if too many content id matches or if vid is blocked worldwide too many times. i have a few of those, but again nothing recent

- my adsense is still up, thankfully.

- i do nothing blackhat in terms of views or clicks at all. the most i am guilty of is sometimes there are songs in the background of my videos (very rarely) that get snagged by matched third party or i make some videos that might use a sec or two of footage that isnt mine. i really dont do that anymore. as i learned my way, i now know what i can and cant get away with.

i really have no idea what is going on and this will destroy me if i cant get monetized. the worst part is that it doesnt even really say what it was that triggered them disabling me. i have nothing new as far as strikes or content matches at all.

so is there a step i should take to try to get it back? i dont even see how to appeal.

is there a way to set up a new account? i can use a different name and account. but dont i have to worry about things like ip's? if so how do i get around that?

also, i just opened another youtube and linked it to my adsense. it lets me monetize on the new account. should i just start new accounts? or will those end up getting de-monetized as well?

Sorry to hear that.
I feel your pain since I am also sticking to white hat methods only yet still get into trouble with youtube.
I think you should fight back to get the monetization function back.
I think some of Youtube staff are total as*****s, who found joy in screwing over the people even when they follow the guideline 100%.
So it's a hard fight but you must get it back since 4K a month is not small money.
BTW, 2 of my videos got de-monetized and guess what? I didn't do anything wrong but it was their error.
One was youtube claiming I inserted music while talking yet there was no music!
(Was it computer error? Or are they smoking p*t while working?)
Just background fan noise in a small room and this youtube as*****s heard it as a music and they still did not give it back to me (it's been a month since I filed the dispute).
So, all in all, they are such as*****s, completely drunk with their power, don't even look into the dispute when the poster is completely legit and followed guidelines to 11!
Anyway, good luck with getting the monetization back.
It sucks but, from what I read, you did not do anything wrong, so you are entitled to fight back these scumbags.

its really strange. i just realized in the emails sent that it specified my major account as the reason monetization was disabled. however, that account has no copyright strikes and it also says the content id match is in good standing. so now i am more confused than before

also, i created new channels that allow me to monetize. how long would it take for those views to show on my adsense? i know the money doesnt show for a few days, but i thought the views and clicks were fairly up to date. i started uploading yesterday, but so far am not seeing any views or clicks show on the adsense. its gonna take forever to transfer all these videos. i hope it isnt for nothing

i can appeal the copyright strikes, but as i said in the last post, it said the problem is on my main site which has nothing against it

I'm pulling a few things together getting ready for launch and I keep seeing threads reporting these types of incidents. Because I'm new I don't have much of a benchmark so I'm curious how normal it is to see what seems like a lot. I would guess recent alg change could cause a spike?

Is it possible one of your competitors sent fake or black hat views to your videos? Also, you might have been click bombed. Google really sucks about this type of stuff and they are so quick to pull the livelihood from so many youtubers and assume they are guilty when they didn't do anything wrong.

Oh, so according to you telling someone to try and contact a multi-billion dollar organization to ask about a suspended account in a casual, relaxed manner such as 'Whats up' is helpful information? I don't think so.

i didnt have any unusual activity. in fact, january has been pretty slow. also, there really isnt much of that going on in my niche as far as i can tell. it isnt like its a niche that is just designed to get people to by a clickbank product. and also, i still have my adsense which i believe would be gone if they suspected that

It's strange. Because when I get copyright strike, they only disable some of my features, but also say that I can still monetize my content!

Better check your mail from YouTube, it might contain some vital info.

It's common, I believe.
I have been running a Youtube channel as a hobby for 4 months with 120,000 views under my belt and already 2 of my videos got demonetized.
Guess what? Both of them were the mistake of Youtube and still, they did not process my formal dispute, let alone giving me an apology for their mistake.
(One of them was Youtube misheard the background fan noise of the video as music!!!! Then claiming I inserted music!!! Can you believe this crap?)
I make my own video, using 100% white hat/ legit methods all the time, follow the community guideline to 11 and still I get this kind incidents.
So get ready for Youtube BS before you jump in.

You can't do anything up to 6 months. In case, if you want to earn from traffic just get a new AdSense account and move on.

i read that in the email. however, i opened a new account under the old adsense and it says the videos are monetized. however, nothing is showing up in adsense about views or clicks. unfortunately, i cant tell if it is because even though it says i am monetized, they are not giving it to me or if its an adsense glitch. because a lot of people are not getting youtube views to show right now on their adsense according to their forums
