I am making an account creator for forums.

Now I sorted my list by forum type but it seems that almost every site has a bit different registering routine. Some want me to tick a check box (or 2 or 3) before letting me to the sign up page, others to click a button (or 20 or 2342)... argh.

Do I really have to inspect every site before I can make a working automated solution? I mean it is going to be kind of tiresome to investigate exactly what needs to be done for 10 000 forums. Help!

Using pure sockets with VB / C# for the actual POST etc.

That's the number game mate. Try to figure out the most popular pattern and go with it. Do not bother with few thousands forums that require extra step in registering. Set the success rate of about 30% you will be fine.
