Sometime ago I started bringing in high volume sales on PP, I was withdrawing a lot of money daily, because I've never trusted PP. Long story short, my account was limited and now I cant withdraw or send money on PP. If i make another paypal the same thing will happen, they will link and ban me.
Furthermore, I was using real information, and all of my information checked out. When they asked for more identification, I provided it, and they ended up limiting my account for 180 days and said they will no longer do business with me in the future. They will not provide a reason and give me scripted responses over the phone. It is apparent this company has now been running a long time scam. How they get away with this I sure as hell would like to know.

Either the high volume sales or act of withdrawing money daily (or both) was probably what got my account flagged, whatever it is they won't tell me. I absolutely did nothing wrong, all of my sales came from the real money auction house, operated by Blizzard Entertainment, with whom they have a contract with, and even receive a 15% cut of my profits, yet they deemed me as "high-risk" and locked my account for 180 days. Their reason for this lock was to prevent chargebacks; chargebacks from who, a multi-million dollar business client?
What a pile of horse ----!

I am new to the virtual goods industry, so I did not prepare for nor expect this. PP has a monopoly going, more so over this particular game, so I can't exactly not use them.

My question to the experienced sellers here,
how do you deal with this problem of avoiding an account limitation with paypal?

I've only just found out about stealth accounts, is this the way to go, and how exactly does it work? Do you have multiple stealth PP accounts to spread out the money that's coming in, or is there a simpler method? Also, if you're using multiple PP accounts with fake names, how do you report taxes?

And why do I have to go through all this trouble in the first place, I am doing absolutely nothing wrong. Maybe they think I'm laundering, which is possible with virtual currency, but why then would they sign a contract with blizzard entertainment? makes no sense.

Feel free to pm me, I would really appreciate some guidance, thanks!

How did the buyers send you the money (i.e. goods, gift, service etc.)?

This happened to a lot of people on other forums as well. It is probably because you have received too much money and withdrew the money too fast after receiving.

Was your paypal account fully verified and how old was your paypal?

account was fully verified but the account was fairly new. The reason this account was new because I used to have another PP acc where I used a fake name but that one was running into problems with my diablo 3 account (mismatched name), so I ended up making a paypal with real information. I think this may have raised some flags too, apparently they don't like multiple people logging in from the same ip, or living under the same roof, which is pretty ridiculous.

I was receiving payments through Blizzard Entertainment, the game company that runs the game and the real money auction house. They have a contract with PP where PP receives 15% of my proceeds to cash out using their service. So even though there is absolutely no risk of chargeback through a multi-million dollar company whom they have a contract with, they still want to hold my money.

    Ironic huh?

They probably thought I was laundering, that's the only thing I can think of because whenever I call them they have a really nasty attitude like I've done something horribly wrong but they won't say what.
