Account Hacked PLEASE HELP

Hello everyone, I was stupid enough to fall for an Instagram scammer a few minutes ago. I gave him the password before payment (never will I do again) and he took the account and blocked me on all accounts. Deleted 15 photos with 500 likes each. I don't understand how he got in without phone verification, it sent me the verification and I didn't give him the code but he still got in, changed password, and changed email. I believe my phone might still be hooked up to it, I really don't know. Is there any way I can get this account back? I emailed Instagram but they aren't the fastest at responding. I'm literally crying typing this right now. So disappointed in today's world. Please help. Anything. Thank you everyone.

Sorry to hear about this. I think you cannot do anything other than waiting for IG support's reply.

Alright. Do you know any success rate with IG's support? I emailed them and contacted they promptly asked for more information and its been a while since they responded.

They get back in a day or two.
How did you find him? If you did it on a chat group let everybody know who he is. Post ss of your chat everywhere.

It was disappointedly just through Instagram DM's. He has changed PW, email, and username, and deleted a large cache of photos so far. But awesome, thanks for the tips! I'll be excited to get it back.

Whatever dude, if you're not going to bring something positive to my thread please don't post at all. I was literally in tears watching all my work disappear. I asked for help, I didn't ask if you "believed my "story"". So please, just do yourself a favor and don't respond. Thanks.
 
first of all that's sad to hear man.. it takes a lot of time and energy to build an account and then some asshole would come and take it.. i wonder how these mofos sleep at night..

now, if you haven't already, login to the original e-mail which was attached to your account and there will be an email from instagram about your account's email being changed. i think there's will be something like "Secure your account" inside the email so click on it and see it where it takes you. i have never clicked on this since never needed to, so i don't know what happens after that but you should try it. i hope you get your account back.

Yeah I did that, it said the page was invalid. I literally tapped it once and it went there. But I followed a few more links and ended up emailing Instagram. Me too man :/ thanks for the advice.
 
Was your account linked to your personal facebook account? That would make it easier to get the account back.

No it was not, it was a 23K page in the "babes" niche sadly. Didn't want that hooked up to my FB
 
UPDATE: Account has been banned by Instagram, which means he no longer has access to it! Is there any way for me to regain access to it? Link, testimonial, anything will help! Love you all, -Local
