Accidentally deleted Mysql database of wordpress, [HELP]

Hello, So I accidentally deleted mysql database of my wordpress, but My site is still running, I can access all the file in the filezilla but I just can't access the admin area of wordpress to make any changes.


I did made a back up few months ago, I don't want to back up the whole site from the older version because I have much less content on my back up . Is it possible to copy ONLY the mysql data from the old version of wordpress?


So how can I recover my database without losing any content. thanks.

Try contacting your host and see if they have a backup. Any hosting company that's halfway decent performs automatic backups (assuming yours wasn't too big). Anyway, start by asking your hosting company.

If you deleted the database then I don't think the site would still be functional unless you are using some form of caching maybe.
The first thing you should do is contact your host and see when they last did a backup, they will probably have a more up to date backup.
You should also use Filezilla and backup everything on the server locally before you do anything else.

You can try to use MySql recovery options if your database was configured to take back-ups. Also check with your host to see if they do auto backup of databases.

If you are on a shared hosting platform then your hosting provider should (99% of the time) have a backup for you so ask them to restore from the latest backup but make sure you ask for the date of the backup first.

Ohm, After deleting it's still accessible through website and it's another good news so there is somewhere the database is still available. Hosting provider should know the thing, Just let them know. Following to know the last update.

What they said to you. Your hosting provider should provide you with a more recent backup

Shared hosting company(decent ones) keep backups in three forms monthly, weekly and daily. You can ask your hosting provider whether they have the daily backup or not and they have it you can ask them to restore it for you.
