AC Question

Since the Y took over AC, does anyone see any differences?

Do they still pay the same for up-front payments?
Are the editors more strict or less strict now?

I haven't been on AC since Y took over, but I'm looking to get back into it. I've submitted 3 test articles but they're taking forever to get approved or denied...

They pay alot less, like $2 per article.

The editors are more strict, it is harder to get articles approved.

I agree with Ruger, the editors are much stricter now and it may only be worth going for AC if you outsource the articles, rather than write loads yourself for a couple of dollars. But then again if you're just starting out it's a definite way of earning some startup money.

I have not success any articles with AC, 1 article submited and <10 views. So sad

AC 'now' is a place to get into the groove of writing and not fast money as it was when they first started. AC is still much of a place to make decent money but you have to know what AC likes and doesn't like.

So Yahoo might have decreased the average upfront payment but I can tell you some writers are still getting $5 offers and some even higher.

Compared to other sites such as textbroker, brighthub, demand studios and similar sites...AC payment (at least their upfront payment) doesn't look too appealing to writers.

AC will accept anyone who applies but in comparison to the 3 sites i mentioned ..you have to be APPROVED(the least is writing sample and resume for some) before being able to write.

Is it more profitable to accept upfront payment on AC or Performance pay? Can someone please advise.Thanks.
