AC Pages are internal, building links worth it?

I'm about to start the Twitter method for building 100 backlinks for a page using SB sites but I have a bit of contradicting knowledge.

I thought it was easy to bump out pages on Google Search that are internal like an Amazon Product Page. I don't see how an AC page would differ.

If it is infact harder, then should I bother trying to promote my work? Or should I try much much harder to promote since it is an internal page?

Any tips or methods that have worked for you?
