Absolutely Nightmare- google faq on CLS

I've been working on these the past month and realistically we know we want our sites running as fast as possible, so the tweaks I have made have been pretty simple and have got me green across the board. Nothing we should not already be doing to improve our rankings IMO.

75% of my traffic is mobile, so it will hopefully nudge me up a few spots and lower a lot of the more powerful slow pages above me.

This was inevitable.

Are these sectet tweaks or you can share with us

No secret sauce, in fact no sauce at all. I simply followed the instructions in the help information to resolve the issues then told Google to check again. Waited 20 days and bam, all green.

I should make an ebook from that and sell it!

i guess im calling dibs on it free review copy :D but jokes apart did you use ads on your site, because with a fast theme and fast host it’s possible but add ads like adssense and others it’s not possible though not impossible too, I hope STUNA @Festinger will find some blackhat way to solve this

I don't see what does this change to be honest. All I see is make your page load fast. If your page is slow you'll lose traffic regardless of the current rule set.

But the thing is big sites getting traffic are not really responsive.

Adsense is an absolute dog. How Google can penalise you for their own product being so crappy and slow has always baffled me.

I do not use adsense, all advertising I use on my sites is served locally to ensure it does not slow down the sites.

It a whole nightmare.

This effects mobile and static conditions.

It like there wanting us to fight against mobile and static webpages

It a complete nightmare also there to much talk about image size and weight.

Server speed seems to be a massive issue now.

Wtf.

So that means all host hopefully go fast I hope because otherwise website are useless now on slow servers, mean nothing in google eyes .

I fort there was a reason that elementor and yoast are teaming up all speed-related and image optimization .

So what the green ticks you all talk about ,where the link to see if google likes the page fullstop?

What website link do we use now to optimize our websites for google compatibility?????

Anyone...

I am getting this

Deprecated. This page was written for version 4 of the PageSpeed Insights API, which is deprecated and will be shut down in May 2019. Version 5 is the latest and provides both real-world data from the Chrome User Experience Report and lab data from Lighthouse

Where the link to version 5 wtf

Are we all still using
https://gtmetrix.com

Or not someone tells me...

I was told the page speed google test app is complete shit.

But now reading that article what service are they using to get server speed stats as everybody's stats are different so what one do we use.

Also about images is there a new compression for them it very odd them going on about images.

I bet google doing a huge turnaround update there big changes coming that article a huge warning

My all pages loads less than 2 sec.
Still I see all url as poor in search console in mobile category

So basically according to that article, websites will be merited on traffic using all the website from moving around on the page.....

Also what a fucking big joke
Your mobile website will be treated differently to your website in general.

So mobile optimization fucked up now it looks split from website in general

Also looks like images are going to be optimized to featherweight.

Servers will have to be very fast or no indexing will happen full stop.

There something about scrolling going on as well.

Well all no google fucked with my brain many years and I fill let down from google.

So they expect us to be indexed only If all above conditions match, plus optimization as we know it, thanks to google.

Where I put that rope

I've been fucking off big pictures, now I only use 640's max throughout the site.
Optimized themes for mobile. Like Newspaper
Also.. when I moved to Digital Ocean ( Vast speed boost) instead of migrating the whole site with All-In-One I have been moving everything via XML.
So I copied over just the XML for the theme and imported back into a fresh install of the theme on the server.
Exported the posts and media via WP XML
Man the difference in site size is huge.. the clutter you accumulate over just a year.
Now I dev the site offline on my server using Rank Math to get all green posts and move it to live using the above migration method.
But I don't Install Rank math on the live server now.
Oh and I don't use a TOC in posts anymore.
Also I use pure Wikipedia out links for context
Turned 3 sites from yellow to green in 4 weeks.. 10 more to go lol
