Above the maps?

I've been working on a local site for some time. We ranked really well in the pack 7, 2 or 3 spot for main, and 1 for other terms. Now we rank above the maps, but our rankings in the maps have dropped. We have more citations than any other company in our industry. Site is at a pr 5. Any suggestions.

Make sure your region you serve is close to the maps city you are searching. Also you can add some backlinks to your places page. Another tip is to have more recent citations.

Work on the number of reviews for your site. The 3 things I focus on for my Local SEO clients:

1. Optimize Places page with full info ... don't leave anything out. Even include videos.
2. Citations ... as many as seems natural.
3. Reviews ... get real customers to post reviews at various social media sites across the Web (Yelp, CitySearch, etc.) ... keep volume at a level that seems natural and make sure IPs seem natural too ...

Places Page is fully optimized, I guess I'll keep everyone posted. I'm just not sure if you can show up above the maps and in the maps. I've even seen organics in the middle of the maps. I'm sure if I figure this out I'll become some places jedi.... Any more suggestions?
