Hi,

I've finally gotten to a point where I'm about to sign up to ezine and submit my first article for my nice site. Questions I have:

1. I don't want anyone to know my real identity. I've read about "pen name" creation for an account. If I sign up under my real name and info, but don't include any of that in the article or resource box, can someone find my name? Will it appear anywhere is someone looks for it?

I'm assuming I need to (or should) sign up with my real info? I'd like to not have to hide anything if I don't have to.

I need to stay anonymous (not for any illegal reason but it's a side business) so I appreciate the help.

Any other general advice involving starting with ezine would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
Bulldog

You don't have to use your real info. Use whatever sounds legit. They won't care about that.

You may want to ensure the author resource box appears legit with 'non-spammy' info about the author to ensure a higher click through.

Thanks. Good tip for the resource box too.

So if you only use a pen name you create, is there any way that people can see the name you signed up for?

And when you sign up they ask for address and phone number. What is this ever used for and can false info come back to bite you?

I'm positive that no one will see the name you signed up for if you are using a fake/pen name. They won't even see the other pen names that you are using.

For the phone number/address, I've never put my real info there. I don't think you'll have any problems there unless you are going to do some really shady shit. But still, I imagine the worst thing that could happen is your account getting banned.

Great. I guess I'll have to consider using my real name and then use a pen name for the articles. I need to stay anonymous, but I'd hate to have a bunch of hard work banned later because of fake info.
