About to drop esca.pe

I had this esca.pe domain from my pre-bhw era. The little guy is $35 a year and I am not doing much with it.

I got it cause I thought it would be a cool name for a travel agency or for a clubbing scene site, but the truth is I'm not doing anything with it, so I'm about to drop it.

What do you think? Should I keep it? What would you do with it?

Why does the domain cost $35 a year?

@IntensE, that's exactly how I feel. I love the domain, but have no clue what to do with it. I didn't think about selling it... just to let it expire. I will research a bit on how to sell domains.

@blazen, that is the price for peruvian top level domains, which I hate cause after joining BHW, I have about 20 domains, which adds up to the tab.

come on share some christmas love and sell it to me don't let it expire. i don't want to monetize (well not much, currently not many good ideas) but its really wicked IMO.

Hint: Get someone to write a travel blog for you (believe me, many people will do that for free).

Can you see how to monetize it now?

if you wanna sell it i m in; plz dont let it expire. it's with it, escape is such a common name, imagine if tomorrow some random xyz compnay wants to develope a brand around it, you'll make millions out of this.

Can non peruanian own .pe domain?

So renewing it will also cost USD 35 and ++ maybe?
if so then its pretty expensive for a name

good names arn't a "cost", they are an investment that can produce better returns then any stock.

I kick myself everyday over some names i let drop 10 years ago

@IntensE selling domains in this forum is not allowed... I was only asking what to do with it.

@LadRak a free writer? That would be cool! Like a backpacker/student with lots of free time? While I find one I can probably buy a few articles from the writers here.

@blackhatmaster and MegalomaniacMidget thanks for your optimism, but it sounds a bit of a stretch to me. There are domains like car.pe selling for as little as $400 at Sedo. I doubt esca.pe can sell for more than that. Still, it is a ten times earning, so I might give that a try.

@tsanko yes, anyone can buy a Peruvian domain. There are tons of one-word domains available, specially in English. How do you like workout.pe or exercise.pe? Both available as of today at:


@MegalomaniacMidget would you buy and hold domains? I agree this kind of names could be valuable in 10 years or so... it would be great if the domains earned their registration fees each year.
