I have a website with decent traffic with a 10 year old domain and I'm about to change the niche, but I want to know first if any one here have done this?....how Google will see the changes after 10 years spider the same type of content? Do u guys think I will have trouble to rank after the change?

Please don't ask me why I'm going to change the niche...I just want to know if anyone have done this and the consequences

Well, I've done this. Better buy a new domain related to your niche keyword and start your project. And on the website you already have you could make a backlink to your site, because if it is so old domain and has an authority in Google it will be very cool for SEO purposes :)

i third that; all the link equity from your existing anchor-text optimized links may be lost or diluted if you want rank for other terms. another domain would be the best option.
