About to buy SEO Elite... Advice Needed...!

@ seoagent

Thanks again your advice seems very solid.

I am really academic and the SEMPO could be a good option for me. Its actually advice from here that put me off the course but SEO is so "mystical" at times it would be good because so much varied information is out there. The best example is I have heard linkwheels referred to here as white, grey and black hat? Can be really difficult to learn a professional corporate approach. The main difference seems to be the level of automation, aggression and approach to content - spinning etc.

It looks like the best ROI @ SEMPO is a membership IMHO to use their logo etc. Would love to do a lot of their training but concerned @ some of the prices. Are you familiar with their training? I am guessing I would just need to do advanced SEO and one or two others?

I am wondering how things like Aaron Wall, SEO Mindset and similar sit compared to the SEMPO courses? Are the SEMPO courses that well recognised (I am UK based)? I have had the Adw0rds quals rated higher. I networked to the Director of one of the leading UK firms (who really wanted to hire me) who told me to ignore quals and just get working ASAP, he was one of the ppl that made me decide to just start taking clients.

Do you know what equivalents there are to these courses? I quite like the idea of joining as a member then using cheaper courses?

Have their learning materials ever been shared so I can have a look? Even the advanced SEO seems basic compared to some of what I read here lol

:)

Hey guy, just a couple of thoughts. I coach a small group of SEO students myself. Being doing SEO for 4 years. I use Web ceo and love it. However, my students showed me a trick to get a discount. If you sign up for the free version, you'll get an email in a few weeks for 1/2 off if you buy.

They got the entire system plus the training for about $300.00.

Webceo is a big monster, but really not that tough for the great features it has. Matt

Thats great Matt! So how much do you pay monthly for their services or annually? Which ones did you subscribe to?

You're welcome Buck! Glad you liked it. Remember Buck, you can also bookmark other BHW Members posts by searching their Statistics Tab in their profiles. :)

I've created a complete text file of everything I was able to learn from.;)

@ Stevesdata: Yes, I agree, SEMPO may not teach you more, but it is what is recognized by Instituitions in North America. I have not been on their site in the last year. Try and see if they have affiliations in your country. It's just a nice way to be recognized by companies needing SEO work.

Other than that, your own track record will suffice, once you have a website going. I have found face to face meetings with people works best. I am talking about charging no less than a $1,000 a month each as well.

I can assure you, the only thing a owner cares about is what kind of money you can bring their way via seo on their website. In the last year, there have been seo people who just go oiut and secure the keyword markets and then solicit via email to companies in those markets. And offer them a whole range of services, including hosting and managing all their online content, ect.

For that, you can charge around $5,000 a month. You have to realize, most people (99.99%) are not even involved in Internet practices. And the money you can generate for these companies is in the thousands per month. Concentrate on local markets. That way you can see them face to face.

You only need around 12 companies on a continuing basis, to make over $10,000 a month pre-tax revenue.Just only one way to do business. Many other possibilities as described here on BHW.

Do a little digging here on BHW. There is a course out there that teaches exactly what I am talking about. And of course search in Google.

Just to add Steve, here is the link of what I am talking about. Not sure if anyone has this.

Or you could always go with SEnuke... I hear thats good. ;)

I think it is 15.00 per month. I pay yearly so I don't really remember.

If you are going to do SEO just for yourself, then you could get away with a different version, if you are going to do SEO for other companies, hands down WEB CEO is the best. Reporting, is top notch and software runs very good. Highly recomended. The classes that come with it would make anyone a decent SEO consultant as well.

Cheers,
Matt

Thanks for this.

I am considering will probably test the free version? How does it work without the subscriptions. Interested in automated reporting primarily and training will be a great bonus.

For the subscriptions I would only use if I could offer the services and bill clients that wanted it I think.

How well would it work if I was to purchase and not subscribe to anything?

:)

Thanks a lot for your help I am hoping to investigate Web CEO and SEMPO as if I start taking clients I would like to add these to my credentials to help me add weight at client meetings / my career generally.

I also need to pin down Web CEO versus PowerSuite versus IBP to test reporting. I am also interested to know where IBP sits as I am not a big fan but impressed by the reporting functions. Should I still be considering this or are the others strongly recommended instead?

Please also let me know your thoughts on purchasing Web CEO without subscriptions. For example I have MS and plan to use big g analytics / equivalent. Would it be sound to test and purchase then offer subscription options as a fee to the client?

Many thanks

:)

Basically with WebCEO it keeps up with the changes in Google. It still works, but doesn't update with the latest trends. So it will be outdated in regards to onsite optimization. Works good for reporting still, so it is worth it if you ask me.

Cheers,
Matt

Many thanks for the advice.

I will test IBP versus Powersuite versus Web CEO and will make a decision. I am polarised towards Web CEO because I spent some time looking at it a while ago and was very impressed. This is a little bit naughty but I usually get my software free then get a proper chance to assess it then buy. I never trust trials as there are examples where the trials are great then the full versions dont work too well and you are $$$ out of pocket.

Will do some poking and email the ppl at Web CEO I think. I like the idea of software and training. How long does the training there take? it stated 100 videos for pro

:)
