Hi everyone!
I have a website with 2 internal links to the homepage in the header, 3 links in the footer, and 1 anchor key link in a post pointing to the homepage. Can you tell me if there's anything wrong with the homepage or the issue of internal links? Thank you.

15-20 internal link per page is okay for majority of websites,
some websites do have 50-100 per page and they still rank pretty well,
won't work that good with less authority and/or new websites tho, just keep it natural and add as many as you need

Check if your website is okay by looking at how many times it links to the homepage. Make sure it's balanced and user-friendly in the header, footer, and posts.

Your homepage links seem okay by the way you have placed, just make sure they make value for users and don't repeat too much for better search engine performance.

Make sure you don't insert too many links in your page it might affect the user experience and check the internal links is broken it may affect your site.

If users can easily find relevant information and if the internal links make sense in the context of your content then there is no issue.

Your internal linking with 2 links in the header, 3 in the footer, and 1 in a post looks good. Just make sure the anchor text is clear, and keep an eye on user feedback to see how well it's working.

I remember hearing about an experiment that some SEO agency conducted (I think he spoke about it on the Niche Pursuits podcast, but I have no idea which episode it was). They found that the sweet spot of internal links per page is about 10-15 (don't remember the exact number). Up to that number, internal links have a positive influence on a site's ranking, more internal links don't have any effect. So, regarding the number of internal links, you should be fine.
But @tylero 's question is legitimate: Why 2 homepage links in the header? I guess you have one link for the logo, and probably one link for a menu item "Home" or similar. But that is indeed not neccessary.
