Thanks a lot for the answers, I have another question : Can I use the same keywords again in a new article if it has been used before ?
    Like this :

    article 1 = kw a
    article 2 = kw b
    article 3 = kw c
    article 4 = kw d
    article 5 = kw a (again the keyword a)

You will mess up Google. They will not know to which article send traffic for that keyword. If you have more content, add it in the first article.

OP, are you talking about on YOUR OWN site or for external articles on other sites pointing to your site?

Yes, you can can use same keywords for another article too but that particular article's content must have to match with that keyword. You can also take related keywords to match that primary keyword too and these type of keywords are called as LSI keywords.

    For example,

If your primary keyword is 'baby doll' then you can target purchase baby doll online, baby doll at best price etc.

This way you can bring diversity in your keyword by targeting primary one.
