I want to import the products and corresponding color variations from one of my WooCommerce websites to another one of my WooCommerce websites. After importing, I need to change the product descriptions. Otherwise, will it be considered as duplicate content by Google? Will I be penalized?

Yes, if the descriptions are identical on both sites, Google will see that. It usually won't be a hard penalty, but your new site's products won't rank well for that content. Change those descriptions quickly to make them unique after the import.
