About indexing forum profiles

Hey mates! A newbie question about linkbuilding here .

I noticed that the bookmarking links are indexed by Google very well, but I can't find the way to index the profile forums/moodle/elgg/etc. Of course, i don't pretend indexing all the profile links, but a 10-20% of them, yes.

As said before, after 2 weeks, I have a lot of bookmarking links indexed but none of that profile. Is this normal? Even some of my bookmarking links are linking to that profile links, but Google seems to ignore them. Pings are done at all the links.

I suppose that the profile links have to be indexed to make some effect to the linked page...

I tried the free version of linklicious and I submitted the profile links. Linklicious shows me that some links are spidered, but again, Google ignore them.

Any hint that I'm doing wrong? Or I must not be worried about indexing this kind of links.

Forum profiles are not worth putting into the index. What information do they have that Google would think that someone would be searching for? That is the purpose of the Google index: to provide search results.

But if you build enough links to them they will be indexed.

But can I rely that these profile links "do something"? (talking about linkbuilding) .

I tended to think that if the result is not indexed by Google, it doesn't count for nothing...

If you build forum profile links then you want them to be indexed or there would be no point building them. Ok they will not be ranked highly but you dont care about that. If they are indexed then they are passing linkjuice through.
Don't build them directly to your money site though, use them as a tier 2 or 3 link to build a bit of value to your T1 links.

Regarding getting them indexed run them through a indexer program, if you use senuke then use Xindexer, or a program like backlinksindexer. There are a fair few out there and they can at least help get the lower tier links indexed.
