Hi there. Got a question for you guys.

Are .im domains good? any suggestion where to buy it?

You can use dynadot, https://www.dynadot.com/domain/im.html
It doesn't really matter the extension if it's not one of those ridiculous new gltd

Thanks a lot for your answer. Dynadot have good prices as i can see, gonna give them a try!

Stay away from this extension. There Are much better extensions in case that the com version is not available. You may find useful informations about this extension if you check the big well known domain forum.

And they disqualify for what reason?

I'd like to know more, what the big domain name forum are you referring to?

Actually it depends from what point of view are you looking on it.
In past some aftermarket sales happened because it was marketed as a possible domain hack .im = instant message.
some sales happened and few domains was developed.
problem started when google changed the game and the extension stayed inside the island (isle of man) which has a small population. I personally had few one word .im domains and even one Uk domain investor wanted. One example is the domain delivery.im.
while rumors that registry will market the extension as an instant message domain hack some sales happened, but was just some rumors. You may check namebio.com for any .im sale that happened. The volume represents the reality for the extension.
just my two cents

I think is not allowed to post a forum link. Don’t worry, just google about domain name forum, there are only two.

I would like to give an advice, stick to com or to a smart domain hack that is useful. Use searchvolume.io always when you want to buy a domain that means something.
never check what godaddy or estibot appraisal tool says. I have sold domain with 100usd Appraisal value for 80k and domain with 11k Appraisal value for 3,5k. One domain worths what your buyer is able to give.
In case of buying a domain for developing it stick to major extensions . Com should always be your first choice and in my poor opinion .co is a nice alternative solution.
check also namebio about this.

And still I don't get it. It's listed as normal ccTld. Rankingwise imho it doesn't really matter what Tld you use for your domain.

What sort of website will you be putting on this domain?

.im is the extension for the Isle of Man. Is the content of your website related to this geographical location?

Ideally, you should have a domain name that is easy to pronounce and easy to remember when it is said out loud.

Always try dot com first, then dot net, the new TLDs are also good but people are used to dot com...

Are you planning to buy a domain with ".im" as its extension so that you can use it yourself or sell it?

I already bought it. It was for personal use, a small proyect that i have in mind and so far it's working good
