About how google works

Hey guyz,
I want to ask a basic question.
If I search for Larry Page lets say.
I think google look for it's index for word larry and page distinct.
And mix it up.
But the question ;
Can google show a result which only Larry exist on the page but any of the synonym or the stem of the Page not exist .
If it can happen how http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:6rZ5BT-DByIJ:www.centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/&hl=tr&strip=1page can be showned in larry page query.

What page did that result show up on?
The further you go through the results, the more diluted it gets. The page in question has "Larry" referenced at least 3 times.


EDIT: A lot of the links to the page have an anchor text of "Larry"

Even then I bet it didn't show up in the first 100 results. Did it?
When searching just for "Larry" That page showed up on page 6.

No I don't think Google would return variations of a person name but they would count singular instances of words both on page and in anchor text links. I guess you would typically get to a page like this when Google hasn't got enough results to serve.

I am sure there will be, when you get through to the 30 millionth result.
More weight is given to the term "Larry Page" but results with just "Larry" or "Page" will show up.
