Hello friends.
I have tried different methods for ranking well and fast in SE for Google Hot Trends keyword, but without big success. I made a research how other people get it, and I am very surprised .
For today hot trend keyword "david wright helmet" http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?q=david+wright+helmet&date=2009-9-2&sa=X
they are on second place http://www.utwatch.org/news/david-wright-helmet.html
without content on the site, directly redirect to Affiliate (some virus program)
the third place is the same http://fnews.itsessential.ca/tag/david-wright-helmet/.
How they do this?

Easiest way is to make a digg submission using the trend keyword in the title and desc.

The digg.com post will rank high on google in a couple of hours then people click through to your site. Just make sure the trend is something of medium competition - not covered by fox/cnn/etc

Same method works with yahoo answers although you lose some leads because you dont entirely control the yahoo answers page.

I tried all these methods, but I ranked about 1-3 days. These people are ranked for hours even for minutes. How they do that?

I use digg, you rank in 1-3 hours providing the competition is right.

I've found that sites like Mixx or Articlebase can get indexed by Google in a matter of minutes, but I definitely don't think they reliably get indexed fast enough to be of any use for a short-lived Trend.

[Edit] I just noticed that UTWatch apparently passes a credibility factor, being a "Copyright Website" of the University of Texas in Austin.

I'm also halfway hypothesizing that maybe creating an old blog and constantly updating it with news would be better, as I see that Google Trend autoblogs tend to rank, too.

isnt this a doorway page being filled in with the contents of the latest trends and then being redirected to AV program ? They must be submitting the site to digg , mixx etc and pinging it

I have tried many method: I made simple site with good content with subdomain on my site, then I ping; mixx, digg them, and nothing. The site is ranked after 2 days.
I made this thing with Blogger, same thing, the blog is ranked for 2 days.
Now I make WP site for news(hot news) http://www.socialbg.com and I will try to ranking with this for google hot trends.

Let us know how it goes, I'm interested in seeing if this is viable or not. :)

Also, I might suggest you find a plugin to automatically social bookmark each new post or have a good amount of twitter accounts to tweet links to it.

can you tell me what is the name of this plugin?

yes, the site: itsessential dot ca and its subdomain ranked high google trends.I noticed these some days!!

I asked this question a few months ago and never got an answer. Apparently these people are hacking other bloggers' WordPress blogs and then redirecting them to this antivirus affiliate program. I'm sure they're making a shitload of money. As for how they rank so fast and so high, I guess it's because they hack blogs with a high trust factor and all the targeted content on the page helps as well.

I could be wrong, but from what I've read they are probably using some sort of injection (XSS or SQL, no idea really) to make this happen.

Hope that helps. :)

Edit: Here's my thread in case you're interested: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...76-how-does-guy-do-any-ideas-appreciated.html

Yes this is and my question. How these people make these things?

did you ping your post/site after you put the trend article? I usually rank on google after 30 minutes to 1 hour of posting using the gtrends method. All I did was post the gtrend article, ping my site and bookmark it using my list of bookmarking sites. you need to experiment which bookmarking sites to use since some of them will not give you positive results.

yes I ping them, and bookmark them to many sites, but only two give me positve results Digg and Buzz.Yahoo
Now I get awesome traffic from Buzz.Yahoo for one of today hottest trends.

whjat do you guys mean by "Ping" ? is there a program that does this? please explain because im trying to put this puzzle together and thats one thing i dont understand
