it would be especially useful when looking for a rather common service on the marketplace. for example, to buy VCCs or threshold accounts. lots of locked threads

I agree. I keep coming across locked threads almost too often and I’d have to manually sort the results to find threads that are new and still maintained. It’d be a good addition to the bst.

Although not entirely the same as what you are asking have you tried the advanced search and use
order by date and display results as threads. Using your VCC example it had the effect of putting the locked threads at the end of the search.
That is the closest we will see for the foreseeable future as all the planned work around the search functionality has been completed.
