Abbreviations Explained: For Newbies

Noob = Newbie, someone who is new here, or new to IM.

Here's some others that are quite common and may be helpful.

gf = girlfriend
bf = boyfriend
SO = significant other
IMO = in my opinion
JMO = just my opinion
IMHO = in my humble opinion
ASAP = as soon as possible
BTW = by the way

It is too widely assumed that everyone automatically understands every abbreviation used for every subject.

I remember it took me some time to figure out what "chars" meant way back when, which did not help me to join up to email etc.

chars = characters
www = world wide web
etc = et cetera
email = electronic mail

this helps alot. for newbie. wanted to request to put this information in newbie section @Zwielicht it might help also newbie member same as mine.
