One of my domains expired and I wanted to recover the files which my hosting company told me could be done. Once I set-up 2 new sub-domains on a current [inactive] domain that I had, they attempted to make the transfer.

Once the transfer was complete and I checked the URL of the new sub-domain, the domain address changed to that of the expired domain and an error message popped up.

My hosting company told me there is a coding problem and I should contact Wordpress support, which hasn't responded back as yet.

What do you think is causing this redirect, I haven't placed any redirects on any of the new accounts?

The domain your blog is hosted on is in the wp database. You have to manually go into the db and change to your current domain for it to work.

Search G for moving wordpress to new domain for tutorial/instructions. You'll need to use phpmyadmin.
