A word of caution about Yoast SEO for Wordpress

Maybe yoast is a google creation and thats how they plan to find punishable sites in future :o

hmmm, I didn't notice that problem you describe there I have only had good results so far with Yoast. So I didn't linked it with my GWT and that may be my luck now I read this I won't do that anyway!
 
I totally agree with the OP. These companies keep taking more liberties everyday and no one is stopping them. All they have to do is pretend to give you something "free" and then they take your data in exchange.
 
I just use it to create the sitemap and having some control over the writing not being too fanatic about it. But i never filled the data to connect to wmt so i am good. I never 100% trust on plugins.
 
Could be quite a disaster, if it's leaving footprints like that.

Stopped using Yoast or any other SEO plugin long ago....

Try The SEO Framework ( wordpress.org/plugins/autodescription/ ) I have mved all my sites over to this, it is a lot better and have better perfomance to.

Never Yoast anymore .. =)
 
I use Yoast as a guideline, not as a rule, and I certainly do not link it to GWT.
