This is a way longer journey, if you are ready to earn with constant work of hard work, only then count yourself in

You need to plan it all way , what you need. What is your interest , because if you ran over a subject that doesn't attract your interest you may end up with some failure, so first choose your niche carefully. Then go for execution , Estimate costings , and ingredients as per content "Content Is King" so better no compromise in this division.
Go for a small site first , then make it big once you get used to it.

yeah right but still there is no existence of failures, there are always lessons which help you to get to the next step, nm.

Grab a domain, get your hosting, and get to work. Doing>Reading

Shouldn't cost you more than $100 for your first year with one site.
Grab a domain name with a domain registrar such as Namecheap - this should be around $10/year.
Then hook it up to some hosting - Hostgator and Hostwinds will work fine for your purposes - this will be around $5 a month.
Then get a free installation of WordPress - your hosting provider should have an easy way to install it.

And then you're set! With decent quality content you can start monetizing with Google Adsense.
