Is there a way to decrypt or figure out where a contact form is sending mail to? Or is that the whole purpose so I can never find out.. I want to contact some people through thunderbird, don't want to use a contact form, but when I look at the source, I dont even see where it says where it is sending the email to.

    thanks

    Hi,

I'm not into a hacking, but this could be possible with SQL injection. I'm not 100% sure about that. Maybe someone who is deeper into this filed could helps you more.

    Cheers

Most contact forms use php, and you can't read php as its server side coding, and you cant read it no matter how hard you try without access to the websites files.

Maybe you can get the email by submitting the form with your email in it, then wait for a reply. make a program that does this automatically with some generic message that would get a reply out of the user

im not sure if sql injection could do this, unless the email was stored in the database, which some contact forms they are.

thanks. Yeah the only solution I thought was send an email, get a reply, send from my real email or something. bummer.

I don't think it is possible at all as PHP is a SSL( server side language). Only solution I can think of is to hack the site maybe.

Correct me if I am wrong here, I assume you are trying to view a contact form of someone's elses website in hope to get a contact mail or something, as others pointed out, these days its rare to see that kinda of thing on the source code.

Most site will have that on a config file or other means where using the internal mail server they will dispatch a mail to the contact of that website with your information or save it on a database where they can view or even with an external smtp and there is no way to intervent on that process as it is done internally, unless like metioned above you have some way to access the server or even hack it.

Have you thinked about using alternative ways to reach those people ?

For example let's say you want to contact people from websiteA then you could for example try to whois their domain for contact information.

Since I can't post links, I can't direct you to any whois search but, you can find it on sites like godaddy, enom, networksolutions.

Another idea is you could try to search the domain or company in case at google maps or at bbb you might find something.
