A very useful question on contracts...

Yup, as you saw from my other post, I dont have an office so I will be meeting up with cients at their store or simply at Starbucks (gotta love their hot chocolate ), so I was wondering about the contracts since you usually sign them both, make a duplicate for the client and done, but what do if no scanner is around?

I was thinking about simply telling them Ill take the contract home, scan it, and send them a dupe via mail and only start working then.

Opinions ?

Bring the contract in duplicate, have them sign both versions. Done.

Exactly what he said. Bring 2 (and maybe an extra copy as backup).

Upon agreement, both of you will sign on both copies. You keep a copy, he keeps a copy.

Get paid. Shake hands. Get to work!

You can always order some "carbon copy contracts/invoices"

like he said....get the carbonless contracts printed...not alot of money, and it conveys a professional image. image is everything

It costs 15 cents to print out a 2 part carbonless copy at your local officemax or staples.
