Me and my mates are paying Italy a visit in 2 weeks, for a 1 week stay, to Roma to be specific.
First anyone from BHW who lives there? Second, what do you recommend doing there? What should we look for? How do we get most of our visit? :)
How about the night clubs, drinks, prices, people etc etc? How can we make money there?

Please advise. :)

I've been to Italy last year, but unfortunately I've only been in Rome for a couple days. It's a nice city though, wish I had more time to play around like you intend to.
Looking forward to see what other guys will tell you, just to see what I've missed eheh

Bump! No one from Italy on BHW? At least someone who's been there like the guy above!

You shoud definitively visit the Vatican, and just next to it there is a pizza shop with one of the most delicious pizza i've ever eaten!

Sure, will check that! Tell me more! :p

i live in italy but i will also be going to the UK like in June

My wife is from Northern Itlay....awesome place!

If you're going to be in Rome for a week, you have time to check out some incredible history. The Colosseum, Pantheon, Sistine Chapel, Vatican.....you won't run out of things to see. There are some amazing churches there that are hundreds to even a thousand years old that are worth seeing whether you're Catholic or hardcore atheist. At night, the happening place to be for the younger party crowd is Trastevere, a district/city in Rome.

The subway system is great and they have deals like 3 day passes, week passes, passes with museum admission included, etc. No need to rent a car.

Oh yeah, BRING PLENTY OF MONEY! Italy is not a cheap place to visit at all.

Anyone would like to add anything? :D

How about the prepaid sim cards? Which one is the best?

I've been to many European cities but Rome has to be my favourite. I love the history and architecture.

Free up a whole day for the Vatican/Vatican city.

Also the Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, Trajans Column etc. Basically go to Tripadvisor.com, type in Rome and, go to 'Top attractions' and that'll offer you so many ideas

This shit doesn't look good, an earthquake happened 9-10 hours ago..

Alright, so I'm back from Italy, actually got back Thursday morning, and I must say the trip was very well worth it.
The weather felt warm and sometimes very hot that we had to shower off the smelly shit every day.
We visited a few places such as Vatican region, Spanish steps, ESA a space agency, Fontana di trevi, a long marketplace, the second biggest shopping center in Europe and several other small places.
We also headed to the beach on the sunny days for basking and also to swim but the water was a bit too cold for swimming so we just enjoyed the warm sun.
The restaurants were we satisfied by the most however some of them had shitty quality on their food, we didn't bother complaining, Italians are too bad at English, so we just left the them.
We bought in large amounts of alcohol for consumption at nights and we were disappointed to find the clubs almost empty from party people. It was almost only us with Indians staring at us..

I took loads of pictures with my galaxys2 but I don't think I need to upload any, you can just google Rome for much better quality ones.

I bought a t-shirt there with a message on it :D
