A tool for ripping articles from websites ?

Sorry for noob question, but which tool (if any) would allow me to scrape the contents of a website (individual pages, or even better articles with their corresponding images) and save them to an editable format, ideally each page/article being saved in a separate file ?

Just from any website or specific websites? If is an article directory, you can use Article Scraper chief, does a good job. If you want to scrape from just any site, you may need something custom. Also, if is just text, it may be easier, if is images too, you will need to have some control over that too.

you could also mirror whole blogs, websites or wikis and then change the layout and upload it yourself... but its a bit -overkill- if you are just after articles.. pro: you can get -non blog- websites and images. con: obviously: its a 100 percent copy, beware of copyrights!

I think Kontent Machine has this feature to scrape content on specific keywords and from websites.

If you have scrapebox, there is an article scraper addon that is free.

Article scraper addon for scrapebox is not free and Ger Article Pro is not working and i think not even on sale anymore. Was some threads here about it.

Unless I'm crazy, the Article Scraper Addon is free, the Article Scraper Plugin is NOT free. He was asking about scraping articles, which the addon will do. The plugin does spinning, etc (which I would much prefer thebestspinner).

Nothing gets more than Kontent Machine. For most key phrases the amount of content it scrapes (includes videos and images) is more than 99% of websites would ever need.

It's not free though, so worth seeing if some of the free software is enough for your needs before splashing out on a pro tool like that
