A suggestion on how to control forum spamming

Hi Admin, Mods, Senior Member and rest fellows

I think in BHW we should not allow newbie to start a new thread until their post is 10. In that way we can significantly reduced spamming in our bhw forum and also mods have less work.

Now-a-days i found a lot of newbie just joined to bhw to promote their website and spreading already shared content.

Please post all your thoughts on this.

10 posts is a joke for someone who have the intention of spamming

Perm Ban and remove the spam thread immediately would help, instead of just deleting the thread and letting them stay. Because I actually seen it the other day where someone spammed their shitty site, and it was removed, then the next day they did it again. (the exact same post)

I presume you don't realise how many threads are deleted with the OP perm-banned before you've even realised they posted...

The odd one might slip through the net, but generally it's pretty good.

@ OP - I doubt this will happen. Forums rely on new members to join/post so if you give them restrictions like that you're just going to end up with them spamming on other threads rather than opening new threads. It wouldn't actually prevent anything, and if anything, would be harder to clear up than threads.

Lol!! Given that this is BHW.. i'm sure the mods are one step ahead anyways But hey you can't quite expect to have a foolproof system can you.

I dont think that BHW need some threads from spammers, they could join, post few times 25, maybe . and then they would post, im sure a lot of answers will be answered until they reach 25 post + they will get used to BHW

Sometimes real users find trouble doing their works and instantly they come for reliable help from forums so they post threads to find their answers. If there is any restrictions they wouldn't be interested. And they would leave.
