I am amused by this website's SEO result....

Please google : washi tape shop
and google: sticky note shop

you would see a website kawaiipenshop is ranked on very top for both results.

Click into their search result page, you would be surprised by how "no text" the page is......

And, if you look at the Alexa ranking (the attached JPG file).....
their website just started a few months ago, and the traffic jump up like rocket ........

How do they do that ?

Probably because of posts like this promoting it!!!

Thanks both of your reply.

Did you see the screenshot I attached in my post ?
Maybe both of you are right, maybe not.

The truth is, base on your SEO expertise,
have you ever seen a new website, with almost no content on their page, rank so high in Google and traffic sky rocketed ?

If yes, would you mind to tell me what is their technique ?

I just want to
why Google would rank such completely new website so high ?
and , how can a website with almost no text attract tons of traffic ....?

Both keywords seem to have a grand total of 90 search terms a month worldwide according to Ahrefs.

you can have lower volume than that and would need a 50 PBN behind it to rank those terms sometimes.

however, in this case, It aint hard to spot even with ahrefs the reasons behind.

learn sth about:

keyword analysis
seo competition
link profiles.
etc.

or use ahrefs and look at the numbers. it's faster.

Please kindly find the attached ahrefs report.

Thanks for your suggestion.

For a completely new domain,
do you think their growth rate is within "normal whitehat seo" or more on the "blackhat seo" side ?

Does it matter? You wouldn't need much SEO of any kind to rank for those keywords. Having the words in the meta tags alone would even be a huge start.

What's your end goal here? You wanting to crack the lucrative washi tape shop niche? The exact match domain is available for $1. There you go.

90 searches can result in 2 visit a month. Still a good number.

If he converts at the normal 2% it will only take him 50 months to get his first sale, he's going to bank so hard! 2021 will be HIS year!

Here's a screentshot for you: I would love to know what you think about it.. blackhat, whitehat, greyhat, what?

Alexa ranking is 100,000+

rip site
buy 200-500$ expired domain
upload.
wait 4 weeks
bank $
pay lawsuits from net money or go hiding like kim schmitz

hm... this post really made me think about some stuff.
where can I get DMCA hosting again?

Thank you very much for everyone's reply.

Although your replies did not answer my question, but you did point to the right direction.

it is almost certain that they bought back links .....
Base on Ahrefs "Anchors report",
hundreds of domains linked to them with exact keywords, all "first seen" on the same 2 days......

THE IMPORTANT POINT THAT I LEARN FROM THIS LESSON IS:
buying back links is still working .... Google is still not clever enough to spot it.

If google can spot it, why would there still be services selling back links lol

By looking at the domains that link to that website, I guess the link selling / buying company did the following:

- Use bots to generate / copy-and-rewirte random contents
- publish a lot of new random domains, upload random contents
- let those dummy domains be aged
- when a client show up, sell a set of those pre-cooked domains to the client as a service bundle.
- create links on the dummy domains, and point the client's website.

The whole process is just like farming .... or wine making.

In this way, those dummy domain would just looks like any other normal domains.
and the back links from those dummy domains would look as authentic as organic back links (as least this example shown that Google's AI is not spotting them)

It is 100% pure guess .... no one should ever try doing some like that ! Do not do it !

Low competition keywords are easy to rank, no secret and you dont need years to rank.
