A straight forward question for experienced owners of dropshipping websites

Hi guys
Is selling a t-shirt belonging to a university football team considered violating trademark laws? Because, I see many other non-authentic websites selling these online cheaper than the authentic websites and I would like to start a website for selling. Before I do that I wanted to get your opinion to avoid trouble. Thanks in advance for sharing your thoughts.

Technically unless you have permission from the university I do not think you can sell it....I could be wrong though. Honestly though I am sure there are multiple illegitimate sellers out there....depends if you want to take the risk.

I think if you modify them a bit, then you wont have any infringment problems. But you can always try out. I dont think there will be any issues though.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I have seen a lot of sellers that are not legitimate.

What do you mean "selling a t-shirt BELONGING to a football team"? Do you mean it has the team logo on it? Did you put the logo on it? If so, no, you can not sell it. If you have purchased an NCAA licensed product at wholesale and want to sell it, yes--that's what you do. You can not use the image, trademarked logo, or font (such as the "A" script of Alabama) or the team trademarked cheer (such as "Roll Tide") but you can use the colors (or identifiable marks such as the houndstooth design or elephant that Alabama is identified with) and generic phrases that insinuate that team. Each article of clothing has its own collegiate licensing. You can buy from wholesalers and resell any collegiate licensed product. But making your own t-shirt with a logo or other trademarked image is not legal. Hope this answers your question.
