A small Offline Journal.

Me, I'm still harvesting info. This Manta thing takes flocking forever! I have about 30 at the time of this writing (2:00pm MST) so today I am going to separate out the ones that I can email and the ones I can Facebook and the left overs that require a (middle of the night) phone message and do that. Then its back to harvesting. Im getting my 16yr son to help with it today as well. So hopefully I can ramp this up soon!

Well i'm not sure what i'm doing is technically working LOL. Right now, it's pretty slow. It's taking that lady forever to respond so I hope she responds today. If not then oh well, I can still wait. The e-book says it takes time for responses. I was lucky enough to get one so I guess it doesn't hurt to wait till the end of the week. I hate waiting.

Dont we all! esp when it comes to money. I was wondering. What did you use to send your emails with/from? Did you just send from a personal email, did you use a business website add ([email protected]) or?

I used yahoo. Gmail banned me last time i think so I didn't use them, i'm not sure for you though but i just used yahoo.

The best advice I can give to you at this point in time is stop using emails. Ever day people get emails, trying to solicit them. If they make it past the users spam filter, and if they even get opened you still have a small chance of being taken as seriously as you want.

If you can't cold call, send a later, or show up and try and get some face time. You need to stand out to convert. If your approach is targeting clients (rather than advertising in order for them to find you) then you need to stand out of the fray.

So, Bnsly, how did this week go? Did you send out any more emails or get any more responses from the ones you originally did? So far it looks like you have sent out 50 emails and gotten one response. Is that right? thanks!

Hey man I've got a couple leads doing the same thing. I'm giving them the weekend, then I'm going to call them next week. I read about saying something like, "Is price the only thing keeping you from moving forward with our services, because I can work with you on that". Etc. I've got one warm lead that seems a little shy about getting past email, and when I contact them on the phone I'm going to make sure I emphasize that I'm not a salesperson, i'm just into the technology behind these business solutions, and I think my products speak for themselves. I sent a price sheet over email and haven't heard from since so I think I'm gonna call back and emphasize making a deal with them. Some of these people seem really interested then shy away, I don't get it.

I've been on but i haven't been posting. Apologies. I was on the brink of giving up but i didn't. Anyways, I think e-mail is literally the worst way of contact. I guess i should start cold calling now or sending post cards.. Really, i've changed my offline focus to the hybrid method for advertising dentists etc site.. Only problem is, I have literally no clue how to do SEO. So maybe an SEO specialist might wanna point me in the right direction. I have one currently but it's on Pg4 and it doesn't look like its moving. Should I continue with that, or should i move on and find another place. Method there. Anyways, I'm not sure if I should keep rolling. What should I buy? Onehourbacklinks? I've social bookmarked and that's about it, ranking 4th page. Let me know what I should buy, short on cash so I'm keeping a low budget.

This time im actually cold calling because I know the product i'm selling which is ad space! So whoever wants to give me tips on ranking, i'm ALL EARS! Trying to keep a small budget around 10-20 bucks to finish up the ranking but i might go 30 sorry i'm cheap. Comp is above or here Trying to rank this within a couple of weeks 1-2 at least. Need to get something ASAP! Or if you can rank it, i'll give you cut of the sale if any body wants to , kinda desperate to rank it ATM.


TLDR ; I believe Offline is pretty crappy with email. The interested lady has yet to respond back so I think she's done. Cold calling gives more faster repsonses. Also, i need help to rank my site with the competition above. You can be a good person and give me tips or some boosts (or rank it all) or you can work with me and we'll cut a share for the site once it ranks and we sell and advertising spot.

Last post for the night : Maybe instead of pre ranking it, I should say i own a domain and i'm good at SEO.. then with that they can pay me so I use that to rank it. NOt sure if thats a good idea because possibility of scam but... you don't know until you try huh.

On the average it takes 5 to 6 exposures to an advertising message before your target audience responds. You might want to set up a series of emails to send out to hammer home your message. You can add text messaging them to the arsenal if you've got the time and resources. You mentioned a mailer, yup that's another shot at them but it's not free but if you've got the funds it's a good medium. But you need to research each method and learn how to do it right, like writing emotional response ad copy for your mailer, etc.

Personally I wouldn't do the directory listing thing. I've ran across some of those on the first page and didn't see any business listed in the site which tells me the site owner was not able to get any takers. If I could get a site to rank on the first page, I'd try to sell it to one dentist, then sell the package of GPlace listing, monthly maintenance , etc. But that's just me, it might work for you or others, I'm not trying to talk you out of it, you need to make you own decision.

As for seo, look around here and learn how to do some free methods of ranking your site. I'd get the site to rank first before I'd try selling anybody anything on it.
