Hello, i'm bnsly. Not so much a newbie but not so much a pro. Anyways, I really like offline because of fast payments and direct to paypal, check, bank, etc. Not only that it is possibly huge payments for minor work. So, I already went ahead and jumped into offline about a week ago. Not really in it yet but yeah.

So, what I have already done is start on this method :
Code:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/offline-marketing/155794-guaranteed-10k-month-online-offline-hybrid-method.html

Sounded simple enough so I bought 4 domains for it and started doing some minor SEO work for one. We'll see where that gets us later because ranking takes time.

In the mean time, i've begun working on building mobile sites. I have read a WSO and i've been told mobile sites are big now. I'm hardly fluent in any coding language so i'll use some custom builder or maybe buy a theme.

You can find that WSO here :
Code:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/396447-get-wso-523386-instant-offline-avalanche-attn-offline-marketer-stop-what-you-doing.html
Big ups to Solar for the share.

So here goes my Day 1

I've just started working late at night and have gotten e-mails together. I'm contacting by e-mail because i'm too scared to cold call. I don't want to get into why but e-mail does bring in some responses so i'll just have to scale up the e-mailing to get more responses. I've decided to get a pre-made theme and sort of resell it to a client, which i think works. All the themes look really sleek so i'm sure the design won't be a huge problem.

I've used mostly google places to get e-mails (visiting websites > contact us > if lucky get e-mail etc.) I'm trying my best to stay away from franchises and sites with already killer designs. My plan is to grab around 50 e-mails today and e-mail them tomorrow.

I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoy working on it (hopefully).

EDIT: Oh and any tips/comments are welcomed. Oh if you say calling is better, I know.

You're off to a good start. Best of luck to you!

Thanks KraftyKyle. Appreciate the kind words.

Also, i've just gathered 50 e-mails(literally), I have a lot to catch up on tomorrow, have to send these 50 and then gather another 50 and then send those 50 to get on track. If you're wondering about the site, it's been indexed. I wrote my own 200-300 word article on it and bought 500+ Social Bookmarks and 100 Blog comments as said in the thread. Well just the blog comments. I did some looking around and it's not even in the top 200? Haha, i'm sure I should wait. Anyways, that's it for me today .

good luck OP, also make sure that you drop into every conversation you can with friends/family/potential clients what you are offering

I am just starting off too and got my first offline client from a conversation in a bar

Best of luck to you! I recently moved to the offline game as well so I love reading these journals and I actually plan to make one after I have some results. I hope to hear nothing but success as you seem to be on a solid track for a solid start.

Thanks guys . I'm currently at school right now so i'm limited to what I can do. Also, if anyone has any good methods or WSO's they can link to, it wouldn't hurt to link it to me! I have a lot of extra time on my hands with waiting for SEO and just scraping and e-mailing. Let me know if you have a good method for me to do, more money doesn't hurt ;)

I've been searching and I've found some stuff I want to try

Code:
http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/offline-marketing/389227-build-5-000-month-consulting-business.html

and also a method involving selling Google Plus business pages to businesses. Sell for maybe $50 hopefully get a response

I know you want to spread out and do a bunch of stuff all at once but i really think its a good idea to do ONE thing, get some results THEN add another if you want to.

Hope your emails go good today. Please dont forget this journal like so many others do, and keep us up to date on the good and the bad. It helps us and it helps you!

Good luck!

Yeah i know. That's what i do a lot ! I get distracted on one bigger method and seriously screw around etc. Yeah it's just a little plan for later. I've just started sending out e-mails and I have a lot of HW today so I won't be able to scrape more.

Quick Update: All e-mails have been sent! Waiting for responses now.

Congrats on taking action. That's the most important step. I'm trying to put together something similar. Working on a low cost introductory offer and hoping to backend some larger seo deals.

I think that happens to a lot of people here. What level of school are you in? I'm trailing behind you. Been looking up places for the last few hours. not alot have email addresses though which is disappointing and I am surprised at how many Places dont even have a website. Glad you found enough for a good start!

High School! And yes it's rough. Takes me a loooong time to get 50 e-mails. On the bright side, i've received 1 e-mail that wants to look at the demo (which is me iframing a live preview of a theme on themeforest) and one who asked a question. She seems interested.. I guess.

Anyways, i'm going to go iframe the theme on my site. Does anyone know if it's ok to like resell themeforest themes?

EDIT: I actually received 8-9 e-mails however 1 was an automated response 2 were real interested people and the rest were failure notices. Oh well. If I can close this one person, that's not bad ;) I want a new laptop for skyrim!

@ Everyone else : Thank you! I appreciate the kind words.

I too am interested to see how this goes for you. You're doing well. Keep up the good work.

Thanks again guys. I checked my e-mails this money for any "I'm Sold!" e-mails but no responses. I sent them a demo with a live preview of the themeforest theme iframed so that the themeforest is nowhere to be seen. Then , since i couldn't wait for nameservers to allocate and buy a site, I used pastehtml and just pasted my html there. It worked perfect, I hope I can sell it to that one person who seemed REALLY interested. Here's how she responded.

"Henry, I'd love to see the demo and here more about the mobile site...sound good.
Thanks,
~~~ Name
~~~ Company
"

BTW, i'm not henry. Fake name. Anyways, i hope she'll respond by 6 PM like last time!

EDIT: Nothing new on site , SEO takes long. BMD gig done though. W8ing for results. By the way, no new e-mail from yesterday. E-mailing 50 today. Since i'm getting paid thru paypal. I'm moving to another state/ area.

Might take a while for everyone to read the emails.

Just for clarity, You are doing the mobile site thing now right?
and, instead of harvesting leads from manta, you used Google Places?

If so, how were you able to get the names of the owners or head person to address in your emails?

And instead of sending the potential buyer to the preview page provided by Duda..for the mobile site - you made your own site and iframed it there instead? Is that right?

Hope you get some more responses and looking forward to your further replies. have a great morning!

Hi ,

Yes it was the mobile thing. Yeah I just used google places to get e-mails, places links to their website more often than manta but it usually doesn't have an e-mail. Most of the time the e-mails were not accompanied with names so I just put the store name "Hey John's Pizza". This time i got extremely lazy and put "Hey!". No I did not use duda this time. I was told by a friend that Duda is sort of bad, and I used Duda before with another person. This person had a site that looked like it came from 1999 and said that the Duda design was bad. So I stopped using Duda. What i'm using is a theme that is sold on
Code:
Themeforest.net
and just using the live preview. I'm sure it's legal to resell these themes once you buy it, well buy it once every time you resell I think. They carry many themes for mobile sites, and they're good and cheap!

Now i'm not 100% sure this is legal, i'm 90% sure it is. I mean it's basic re-selling , which is pretty much a huge rip off for them. Well, most mobile sites are anyways so I don't see an issue with that. If any body knows if this is illegal or something is wrong with it, let me know.

Yes I did iframe it, It's nothing fancy just a simple html <iframe> with the thing adjusted a bit so that only the phone shows. And thank you, good luck with you to. I'm not following the WSO 1 for 1, but i'm using the concept. Also, you can use manta it works well. When it links to site, but that's maybe like 40% of the time you'll actually get a site.

If anyone needs help iframing , I can give you some tips and pointers! It's pretty simple you just might need a pixel ruler lol (if you want to hide certain stuff like logo's etc)

UPDATE: Still no responses from my last post. I'm sure the interested people (which is like 1-2 people) have a designated response "time" if you will, that they respond to e-mails. They both responded around 6-7 PM PST So i'll post my next update at 8 PM . Thanks for all the support and I hope whoever is also taking a plunge into offline will succeed too!

EDIT: I took a look into the terms for buying my theme which is a very cheap mobile theme on themeforest, perfect for restaurants. Here's the terms :

Regular License Examples

The Regular License could be used for any of the following:
Single website (commercial, personal, or non-profit).
Single website for a client (commercial, personal, or non-profit).
Single intranet site project.

The regular license is 5 bucks and I'm using the single website for my client for commercial i believe? Correct me if i'm wrong, but I think this is legit.

Sigh, no responses. I'm an impatient person, but the person who seemed the most interested, replied withing 10 minutes of me first sending it. Now she doesn't respond. Oh well, I'll wait one more day. Maybe some more e-mails will help :P. I really want to automate this but, have to buy a program.

Just keep going! Dont give up! Try getting the owners email if u can, as I think you might be sending to more general emails and maybe not reaching as many 'buyers" as you should. at least thats my theory.

Definitely, getting the owner's e-mail is rough. Usually it's those [email protected] and stuff i'm e-mailing. How are you doing on it by the way?
