A simple question about Paypal business name

My friend asked me a question about PayPal yesterday, I think it is a simple question but I don't have a business account, therefore I really don't know how to answer him correctly..

He sold some "software" on ebay for 3-4 months ( maybe, I am not sure) and would like to stop selling , and deleting his PayPal account forever to avoid some potential issues..

He noticed that when he change his business name and primary email , all historical transactions will be updated to his new business name and email.

Will those transactions' info be updated to his personal name or just the old business name?

If I can remember, if you change the name, the transaction data remains the same as it was.

My friend sent a $1 to me for testing, yes I can see the transaction info updated to new data after he change the business name and primary email.

I have confirmed about this.
