A simple method to find subreddits that allow new accounts to comment.

The most difficult part of warming up fresh accounts is finding subreddits that

A) allows new accounts to comment without silently filtering them.

B) Are active enough so others can see and upvote your comments.

C) Are not known hub for spammers (eg: r\FreeCommentKarma or easykarma) which will red-flag your account.

How do you fnd these subreddits?

I usually visit the spammer subreddits I mentioned before, or AskReddit, and look for new accounts that are less than three months old with positive karma. I click on their accounts, sort their posts by highest karma, and filter out NSFW content using RES.

This way, you will be able to easily spot smaller, niche subreddits that allow newer accounts to post and get upvoted. Make a list of those subreddits and save them for use on your newer accounts. Keep an eye out for event-oriented subreddits like sports, TV shows, etc., which experience a surge in viewership at specific times, as these will get you many upvotes for minimal effort.

You only need 3-5 subreddits that you have interest in and can easily post get people to upvote you.

I use a similar approach but focus more on niche subreddits with less strict moderation. Sorting by 'new' in popular subs can also help spot newer accounts and their posting habits. Event-based subreddits like sports or trending topics are goldmines for karma farming since engagement is high and moderation is usually more relaxed. Keeping a curated list of active, low-restriction subs is definitely key for warming up accounts
