Hey guys, does youtube send you notifications on comments(replies) posted on comments you replied to, even when you're not mentioned ?

Generally no.. i think if the channel owner responds they send notifications but not everytime

If the owner or a user with above 100,000 subscribers comments on the same thread, YouTube will send a notification with the Glowing Star emoji as a prefix before the user's display name (happened every time, even on extremely popular comment threads)

Example, on Ryan Trahan's video:

Well, it happened today, I replied to a comment on a youtube video, and I received a notification that XXX added a comment to XXX video, when I checked the comment it didn't have my username tagged, was just another reply to the same comment, I'm just curious If this is something new or it existed before & just had the notification setting messed up.
