I have a couple of projects on the go that I need technical expertise for (I have funds, but one is actually making money now and am willing to offer shares in a company to the right person).

Anyway, I am wondering if anyone has come across a service that facilitates business arrangements, or company formations, between people in different countries, where different laws apply etc.

I know there are some freelancers out there that would be willing to work on certain projects with a view to taking a stake in ownership/future profits... but often it is just not practical due to obvious reasons such as trustworthiness, legal agreements not binding in different countries etc etc.

Not sure if i have made myself very clear here, but just throwing it out there.

Never heard of a site like that but I'll code it for you if you pay me ;)

I know a website that's similar to what your talking about.
It's called: caplinked.com

i guess i am looking for an "escrow" type service (for lack of a better term) that will facilitate the establishment of a business relationship between myself and another person in another country... For example, we might establish a company in one jurisdiction, where both parties are shareholders.

I guess some kind of heads of agreement or memorandum of understanding would be drawn up and each person's roles clearly defined.

The service would then ensure that both parties obligations are being fulfilled, and if not, there would be a way to back out or retract the agreement.. as well as offer some kind of mediation service.

Basically, as i explained, I would like to form a relationship with a freelancer in another country, but the risks are too great for both parties to just take each other's word.

i am assuming that this must be a common barrier for people working with each other from different countries, and who do not know and trust each other?

cool, i will check it out. Not sure if it is exactly what i am after right now, but could be very handy later on.

dont know if i understand the question or not, maybe you can setup a IBC in a 3rd party country with a couple of bank accounts.
