I'm afraid we don't share that information. The answer really doesn't matter much anyway, the amount that you can make has nothing to do with the amount that other people are making.

For someone who has been "around the block a few times", your comments indicate that you've never dealt directly with an end merchant.

Before any merchant will buy leads from you, they'll make you sign a contract. The contract has terms that are much tougher and more restrictive than the terms of any network. There are clear-cut terms in the contract that state the merchant can sue you if you break the contract.

And yes, most merchants DO care about how their campaigns are advertised. They're the ones that deal with the crap when people spam, false advertise, etc. They are also not very happy when their brand gets damaged. It's not as simple as "if the leads convert the merchant is happy".

The answer doesn't matter much anyway??! The question: "how much do you make with IM" is asked in ever other thread around here. Everyone pulls out their virtual dick and claims they make "this much". I'm starting to suspect that there are plenty of bullshit artists around here. The one guy who I would believe (that's you) says that it's a secret.

Now I'm starting to suspect that there is no golden ring waiting for me (no matter how hard I try) in Internet Marketing. Obviously a CPA company would want to keep that myth alive because it means there's plenty of suckers willing to spend their cash on advertising and promotion.

Then I asked: "What percentage of your clients are making $100 a day?" If the truth is you've got 10,000 clients working for you and only .5 percent make over $100 a day, then something is fucked up with this model. I supposed you WOULDN'T want to mention something like that.

Let me tell you a few things that won't give you an exact answer, but might change your mind about a couple things.

First, those who are making serious amounts of money with IM are not on boards boasting about it, or sharing all their secrets. Those who "pull out their virtual dicks" are usually not making that much. People who are successful are busy becoming more successful, not boasting.

Second, there is nothing wrong with the model. If there was, it would be very tough to be in the network business, and there are dozens of reputable, succesful, long-standing networks out there.

You should NOT judge your success on the success of others. In fact, part of being successful is never being satisfied with your success. If you are making $10 per month, you should shoot for $100 per month. If you are making $100/month, you should be shooting for $1000/months. Etc.

I want to thank you for coming out the way you have done. You have confirmed a great deal of the issues I was having from observation. I have especially been concerned about how the guy who pays for it all (the merchant) stays happy enough to keep forking it over. A lot of the techniques I have been studying leave him out altogether and that has bothered me on a visceral level. It's like killing the goose that lays the golden eggs.

I believe that for those who are starting out with CPA, this is an extremely valuable thread.

OK, let me phrase it this way:

On average, how much money are the top clients at a CPA network making IN THIS INDUSTRY?

What percentage of clients who are members of a CPA network are making $100 a day IN THIS INDUSTRY?

Or is this a trade secret too? (cripes)

why does it matter what individual im's are making?

some are banking hard. some are not. the difference? hard work (seo, linkbuilding, methods, list building) and funds for ppc/ppv.

i'm sure there are some networks that are totally screwing wm's but they don't last long. steve's right - if they're only shaving and screwing wm's out of commission they won't be in biz long.

OK, screw the top guys. What I really want to know is the second question. What percentage of us "Ja-mokes" are making at least $100 a day? If the answer is 1 out of 100, then it's going to be an even tougher climb than I thought.

Do you think MaxSteve will give us any tips of iframing an offer?

The networks are the biggest fraudsters anyway.

But the good thing about owning a network is you
can pass on the blame to your affiliates and perhaps
ban a couple of them just to prove a point( WE DONT SUPPORT BH)

I dont intend to bash your network, as I never used it.

I believe every merchant has a specific conversion rate and if
that is not met, then they come to sniff your traffic sources.

Again the unsaid part is that - conversion rate on the merchant's
end depends on far too many factors which are beyond the scope of wh or bh.

Since they pay for your traffic you have to end up bowing your
head and take the crap, even if you do legit things.

Also as a sidenote to Steve- banning is the last option that
networks should reside tften times pubs do things unknowingly while
testing a method or the other.

If the conversion rate is falling or is not consistent with the industry standards
then you can pull the offer from that particular affiliate.Banning is
the worst remedy you can resort to.

Banning and banning without educating is nothing but stealing on someone's
earnings.In the affiliate marketing industry there are no rules set on stone.
Its purely out of perception,intelligence and testing that we have come
up with names like wh or bh or blueh etc.If you dont respect that then
you need to push traffic to offers yourself to know how each of them
works and the quality of traffic that comes from it.

Anyway stop that banning habbit of yours before you run out of
affiliates to push traffic to your network. Tip lol

I am yet to hear that any network has banned an advertiser for shaving.

First of all, iFraming is the worst thing you can ever admit to doing to a network. Not sure if that was sarcasm or not on your part

Second of all, it doesn't matter is 1 in a million are making 100 a day. Are you going to? If you believe you can, you'll be one of those 10, 100, 1000 or ten thousand people making 100/day. What if Max says 1 in 10 million are making 100 a day? Are you going to give up? Hopefully not, so a question like that isn't even needed.

BTW MaxSteve thanks for coming out, it will probably help your network because instead of having threads like "Fuck MaxBounty!" and then all of the people who don't like MB chip in, you can clear stuff up and keep a good name for the people who haven't tried it yet.

Steve, what about legitimate traffic from CL? What if I advertise my site or an affiliate link, and the user knows exactly what they getting into - e.g. no iframes, incentives, fake job ads, etc. Is that traffic still frowned upon?
