i do not see N-F in the post you shared.
Yes yes, my bad....that is a DF link, I failed at watching stuff, burned out myself for today already.
Deleting it noindexes / nofollows the page. Sorry to be a buzzkill guys
Glad I managed to log in today just to see this. Great share!
Tried to edit my last post but apparently I waited too long. Figured I should explain a little better to avoid confusion.
Whether you remove it or it's removed by mod / admin, the submission gets noindexed / nofollowed on a page level.. meaning it doesn't matter if your link has the nofollow attribute or not.
This method did work up until a few months ago though.
Would it be possible to get around this by creating your own subreddit and posting on it?
Yes, that's one way to do it. You will still need to get the submission upvoted to flip the link to d0follow though.
You can create "Tabs" on your Subreddit, they are all Do-Follows.
how do you get the no-index tag removed? getting 5-10 upvotes and comments does not always work.
It's part of their algo to detect some vote patterns I believe.
If you search for their SITE:example.com on G and some keyword you'll see the pages are indexed and cached.
What's true now?
So do some of the deleted posts come without the noindex or not?
Test it and see.
