So this is my first post i have been lurking for years and reading non stop every day on here. and still i only have a limited knowledge of MNS

i have masterd youtube keywords and PR and such. but i am starting a MNS site and i have just bought domain and hosting. i am using a semi exact match keyword for a domain name example
    HowToPaintAmerica instead of HowToPaint

my website will have around 10 pages all with good articals writen by me with a few keywords thrown in. im going to get a gig to give me backlinks once i get everyting in order. but my question about back links is would this be a viable backlink or link? or do any good.

i am a member on alot of forums for my niche and have good rep on forums and post count. now say i have 500 + posts on a forum and i go back and edit these posts with my Website link and a few keywords etc. would this do any good for my site?

sorry if this is a stupid questions but i have to start somewhere and would rather ask a stupid question than none at all. ive been reading on bhw for way to long and finally decided to start MNS with adsence come good or bad.

    hope you can help me.

just intalled wordpress waiting for it process so i can start the process.

    -Thanks

If I am understanding your question, I would say that it will depend on your forums. I am assuming you mean the white-hat practice of building backlinks first-of-all. If the forum is a "no-follow," that means you won't get credit for your backlinks. Not all forums are no-follow, but since so many people use forums just to build rankings, many of them don't allow you to get backlink juice. Also, if you change you posts to point at your website, you may get banned for over-promoting your site.

if you do that on older pages make sure you check the PR and do the highest first - many older forum pages - especially long threads can sometimes get some good PR

Thanks for replying and apprecaite the timely response.
your answered my questions and thats what i was looking for but how would i tell if a forum would be "No follow" or is there no way to tell i just have to put up the backlinks and see what happens? and i dont think i will get banned! i have posted high quality videos for my niche on most of these forums 15-30 forums. and the videos have had ads on them and no one has said anything but good things except for one high ranking website who banned me. im going to do this white hat, but i relize that im going to need fiver gig backlinks that i will get good gigs from looking at other threads on here and using the gigs they used.

im in this for the long haul and love to see that daily earnings increase even if its cents.

i started on YT with completely original content making pennys a day and worked that up to 1.00+ a day if not more with some days getting 5-7 dollars. this is auto pilot now but took lots of 10+ hour days to get there.
and hope i can transfer my skills with that to MNS and at least see something positive.

Thanks party marty that helps greatly to becasue iam a member on a non niche website that i have many older posts with high page ranks in the forum that i can switch around to direct to my website and a few keywords.

Host gator just called!!!!!! didnt expect that kind of service. btw this is my first website

There are programs you can download for free that will tell you whether or not a forum link post is "no-follow." Just Google "No-follow" or something like that. I know that on YT, the only Backlink you get rank credit for is your webpage you post in your profile. The links you put in videos do not give you SEO value, however posting your videos on other websites and blogs does. - - - this is just an FYI. As far as getting banned, that is just up to the rules of the particular forum you are a member of . . . .
