There are many factors like product competition, product demand and profit that need to be considered while finalizing a product. It is advised to avoid beauty products, supplements and health products during the start of your selling journey because of the certifications. Another important point to consider is an information called Sold counter. Ebay provides sold counter of the products that are sold on Ebay. This information can get us a very clear idea about product demand. People also do fake orders on their products to increase their sold counter as well as getting reviews and feedbacks which help them in gaining customer trust and getting ahead in the game.

After you have decided the products that you want to sell, you need to take care of the sourcing. Best option to do sourcing is through Alibaba. There are basically there most common methods to source products for selling on Ebay. You can either do drops hipping orders on Amazon, or you can do drop shipping orders on AliExpress or you can buy your products in bulk from Alibaba and receive them in your private warehouse or amazon warehouse and take care of fulfillment. There are some tools available for Amazon to Ebay and AliExpress to Ebay drop shipping like Dropified. Also there are some tools for auto listing creation like Auto Lister if you plan on doing automation.
There is a lot of fishy stuff going on as well on Ebay like people get their restrictions removed from Ebay and once they can receive instant payments, they start selling many products in bulk and don’t fulfill the orders and keep on withdrawing money from PayPal until Ebay catches them and suspend their accounts. If you plan on getting decent sales with decent profits or doing scams and frauds, then Ebay is a good platform for you but if you plan on creating assets and brands just Amazon is your way to go.

What tools do you use for eBay? And is there a tool you use similar to how terapeak used to be? I’m trying to find a niche and I pretty much gave up because most of the items I see on Alibaba can be purchased for even cheaper on Wish. How can you compete against that?
