A question to those who do rank and rent method.

Hi guys,

I have a question that I just can't solve on my own.

I have a niche site like best10localbusiness.com

And obviously I am going to be charging local business for placements on my site.

But how do I disclose it to visitors that I charge, if I disclose I charge a small listing fee, would businesses be willing to list their business on my site?

And how would it be the best 10 business when I am charging for listing, somethings not right.

Any advice?

Does this model even work? Should I change my site to other way, but it seems like everyway, it just means that i cannot use the word "best" because best supposely means I have found the best when I didn't.

You could put a little asstrix at the bottom of the 'top 10 list' stating businesses have paid to be on the list. It's just an idea.
