Hey everyone.

Right so over the past few months i've taken up building my PBN to rank sites, previously i'd been looking for high metric domains PA/DA/CF/TF all +20's with a clean backlink profile.

However now i've started to question are these domains better than this one: npcl-ifc.org (this is unregistered should anyone want to pick it up for cheap)

As you can see that domain has 3 backlinks from HHS.gov which is a PR 10 website, but when you check out the metrics of the site its DA: 7 PA:22 TF:5 CF:10

So my question would be, would my PBN be better with URLS like that with powerful backlinks or should i still be looking for higher metrics?

Thanks

I would go for the one with powerful back links over high metrics any day. Google doesn't look at TF but does look at backlinks.

I have ranked sites with my PBN sites having low metrics but powerful backlinks

I think URLs like that with the powerful backlinks are better when they are relevant to the niche you're link building.

The ones with higher metrics are better if the PBN domain is more "generic". You have to be careful with the research on those though because metrics can definitely be gamed pretty easily.

Thanks for replies, so for example instead of taking the above URL which has a backlink from a PR 10 domain when building a PBN for betting i'd be better going for the one i've just found with backlinks from nba.com which is a PR8 domain.

I've always been told that its the overall link power which you should aim for?

Metrics are just guidelines, sometimes you have to trust your gut feeling. I will go for whichever I feel has stronger backlinks, not higher metrics. Also, next time you might not want to post the url openly, anyone reading this thread can register it before you make up your mind...

It wasn't one that i was too bothered about getting so thought id share it just incase anyone wanted to register it, i just needed an example on whether that would be a good domain to get despite the low metrics would the high PR backlink be better.

But i guess as the consensus is strong backlinks are the way forward i'll do a bit of a clean up with my network (massive effort but will be worth it)

Thanks

The metrics are more of a guideline and for measuring the link in a fast way.

It's been told and it will , forget about the metrics , you have no clue how easy is to manipulate those metrics , especially PA / DA but not to mention here majestic metrics as well ,
what you should care about is whether the domain was used for spam , ( use archive.org and screenshots.com) , once you realize there are some chinese anchors move to the next one , if you come across a domain that has not been spammed , throw it on majestic and check the backlink profile , once again forget about the metrics , if the domain has links from established and authority brands then Bingo ,

The biggest thing is finding domains with authentic metrics that haven't been abused. So many with good metrics have been used by people in China/Japan/Russia or spammed with blog comments to elevate the metrics. So honestly, most of the lower metric domains that you find are actually authentic and don't have bad signals.
